History of PULSSSAR
Purchased by James in November 1999 from a uni student in Western Australia, this was one top condition 1995 "Jap Spec" pulsar. Fully optioned with fog lights, bucket seats, sunroof and more.

When the car was purchased it had some subtle modifications such as 4-2-1 extractors and Remus Muffler on a 2" exhaust system, It was also partially lowered on Pedders Springs.
Not long after purchase, the car was treated to some suspension modifications, starting with a Whiteline Handling Kit. The kit included sway bars, bushings and a few other things. Later down the track it was decided that the car would really benefit from a full Whiteline package. Koni Shocks and Select Springs were added to the car as well as other items such as Steering Rack Bush Kit, camber kit, castor kit, and more.
During year 2000 and 2001 PULSSSAR was further modified, and some concentration on car audio was developed. The car was fitted out with a few different systems and then eventually finished with a fiberglass boot installation and audio components from Alpine, MB Quart, and JL Audio. It wasn't long until the show-bug bit and more work was carried out.
In 2002 the car made a few appearances at the local club race days such as MC Motorsport and regular runs down at the then-new Kwinana Motorplex drag strip. Racing fairly often meant that there was no time for big car audio systems. All car audio was eventually removed from the car.
In 2003 James met his now-wife Melissa at a Rollaboyz car cruise. He was dressed as a ninja turtle, it was St Patricks Day (green theme). Becoming mates with Melissa's father who is a dedicated car enthusiast meant that the PULSSSAR was soon to get some serious attention.
With a lot of hard work throughout 2003 and 2004, PULSSSAR had a complete make over in the performance and engine bay department. A near-no expense spared project was underway for a solid performer with show appeal!
In 2004 PULSSSAR took an award for the show-quality engine bay at the [cabin] Autosalon car show in Perth, It never featured in another car show again as racing took hold of James again!
Not long after the build was complete, a 13.0 second quarter mile pass was put down at the Kwinana Motorplex, with a very high trap speed. Unfortunately getting the power down to the ground in a front-drive vehicle is rather difficult.
Eventually it was decided that it was too expensive and too hard to drive the car daily so James purchased a daily runner, a Nissan Micra K11 (aka, Ghetto Micra). It didn't take James long to gut the car, fit some basic stereo gear, fit it with over $2000 in suspension and have an exhaust system fitted (for some nimble street driving?)
With much sadness In 2005 the PULSSSAR was sold to Brett Williams where it was also renamed to INSSSANE. You might just catch it on the street today! James decided the car wasn't being driven enough or modified to it's full potential so it was passed on to a mate who had the intention of taking the car's development further. Soon after, the Ghetto Micra was also sold.
The PULSSSAR licence plates now don the Nissan Pulsar N15 SSS originally purchased for Melissa to replace her Honda Civic. in January 2007 a brand new Subaru Impreza WRX was purchased to fill the performance car void. The WRX is considerably "slower" than the PULSSSAR....
